Integrations

Connect Ascend with your favorite tools to centralize your work.

1. Managing Integrations

Access the integration settings via Settings > Integrations.

Available Integrations

  • Google Workspace: Sync Gmail and Google Calendar.
  • Microsoft Outlook / 365: Sync Outlook Mail and Calendar.
  • Notion: Import pages and databases from Notion.
  • Slack: (Coming soon) notifications and quick capture.

2. Setting Up Email & Calendar

Connecting an email provider powers the Inbox.

  1. Click Connect next to Google or Outlook.
  2. Follow the OAuth prompts to log in to your account.
  3. Grant the requested permissions (Read/Write access is needed to sync and update status).
  4. Once connected, the status will change to "Connected" and syncing will begin immediately.

Troubleshooting Sync

  • If items aren't appearing, click Re-sync or Refresh Token.
  • If permission errors occur, try disconnecting and reconnecting to refresh the access scopes.

3. Notion Import

Migrate your existing knowledge base to Ascend.

  1. Click Import from Notion.
  2. Log in to Notion and authorize Ascend.
  3. Select the pages/databases you want to import.
  4. Click Start Import.

Note: Large workspaces may take some time. You can close the window and we'll notify you when it's done.

4. Developer API

For custom integrations, you can generate an add-on token.

  • Go to Settings > Developer.
  • Create a new API Token.
  • Use this token to authenticate requests to the Ascend API.
